For many families, the search still starts with relatives, the parish or temple network, and one of the big matrimony portals, where profiles are sorted by religion, community and horoscope. It works for some people. For others it means hundreds of profiles, parents fielding calls, and very little sense of who the person actually is.
Ourpoint is a different shape. There is no feed and no search. At an Ourpoint Live evening you have six five-minute chats with verified people, one at a time, each opening with a question for the two of you. You see a few of their interview answers, not a biodata, and only a mutual yes is ever shown. The first evening is in Kochi on Sunday 15 November 2026 at 9pm.
Ourpoint doesn't ask for caste or sub-community, and there is no filter for it. If your family's background or traditions matter to you, say what you'd like to share in your own words in your interview. Faith, language and home state are handled differently: you can ask for someone of your religion, someone who speaks your language, or someone from your state as one of up to three non-negotiables.
We think people are better met for the life they want to build than for the box on a form. Plenty of members do share a background; they just find that out the way people always have, by talking.
Malayalam is the official language of Kerala, and most members here also speak English. Members pick every language they speak when they sign up.
