Terms of Service

Effective 21 October 2026 · version 2026-10-21

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] Private Limited (“Ourpoint”, “we”), registered at [Registered office address, India], CIN [Corporate Identification Number]. By creating an account you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy and Refunds Policy.

1. What Ourpoint is

Ourpoint is a matrimonial service. It is strictly for people seeking a spouse. It is not a dating website, and it must not be used for casual dating or to post obscene material. We hold Live evenings where you chat for a few minutes each with a small number of verified members, and we open a conversation if you both say yes.

Ourpoint is an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Members create the content they share. We moderate it as these terms describe, but we do not check every statement a member makes.

2. Who can join

3. Verification

Before you appear in anyone's weekly five, we verify your identity using a live selfie and a government ID that shows your address. An automated check helps, and a person on our team decides. Verification confirms that your face matches your ID. It is not a background check: we do not verify marital status, employment, income, education or criminal records. Your declaration that you are single is your own legal statement, and a false one is grounds to close your account.

4. How the week works

5. Your content

You own what you write and upload. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and show it to the people the service shows it to, only to run Ourpoint. This licence ends when you delete your account, except for copies we must keep under the Privacy Policy.

Don't share another member's photos, answers or messages outside Ourpoint without their permission.

6. Rules of conduct

You must not:

We may pause a conversation, remove content, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we may report unlawful conduct to the authorities.

7. Sharing phone numbers

Inside an open conversation, either member can offer to swap phone numbers. Numbers are shown only after both members have chosen to share, and only to the two of them. Once shared, a number can't be taken back by Ourpoint, so share only when you're comfortable.

8. Conversations and payments

9. Safety

Don't share contact details (a phone number, email, handle, link or similar) anywhere on Ourpoint before you and the other member have both said yes and opened a conversation. We may hold content that does, and repeated attempts can lead to your account being closed.

You are responsible for your own interactions with other members, online and in person. Read our safety guidance. Never send money to someone you met on Ourpoint.

10. Ending your account

You can leave at any time from the Your data page, which deletes your personal data as the Privacy Policy describes. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if your verification fails, or if we're required to by law. Where we can, we'll tell you why.

11. Disclaimers and liability

We provide Ourpoint with reasonable care and skill, but “as is”. We don't promise that you'll meet anyone or marry, or that members' statements are true. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or liability that can't be limited by law.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact our Grievance Officer first; most issues are resolved there. Subject to that, the courts at [City] have jurisdiction.

13. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Ourpoint after that means you accept the new terms.
