Swapping numbers
Tap "Swap numbers" in the chat. Numbers appear only when you've both shared.
Your phone number is never shown to anyone automatically. Once a conversation is open, you can swap numbers whenever you both feel ready.
- Either of you taps "Swap numbers" (the phone icon) in the chat. If you haven't added a phone number yet, we'll ask you to.
- The other person sees a request. They can tap "Share mine too", or "Not yet". You can withdraw your request.
- When you've both shared, both numbers appear in the chat. Only the two of you can see them.
You can also simply type your number or other contact details in an open conversation. That's fine once you've both said yes.
